The NZFWI National AGM was held in Christchurch this year, and according to the Central Hawke's Bay delegation that attended, had a very positive vibe. The speakers were inspiring, many members were involved in the discussions, and there was great entertainment in the evenings, including the 'Music Hall' drama competition.
The event was hosted by the lovely 'Canterbury Belles', who did a wonderful job in making all 400 attendees feel welcome. The 'goodie bag' for delegates had the usual information on local attractions, but also held lots of TLC from
all the Canterbury Federation WIs in the form of handmade contributions:
(How the chocolates made it all the way home unopened heaven only knows! 😋)
The soup mug very appropriately from Temuka WI

who were awarded Gold Honours at the AGM.
The Central Hawke's Bay delegation also brought home a trophy (which is very difficult to photograph!):
the Avis Rishworth Innovation Award - won by this blog! 😃
